Summary of the job role:
As a Stock Control Clerk, your primary responsibility will be to maintain accurate records of inventory levels, stock movements, and supply orders. You will work closely with the Stock Analyst team and sales departments to ensure efficient stock management and timely availability of products. Your attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment will be crucial for success in this role.
Responsibilities:- Prepare and maintain stock-related documentation, such as inventory reports, stock movement records, and stock-taking reports.
- Maintain accurate stock records, including tracking stock levels, locations, and movements.
- Conduct regular physical stock counts and reconcile discrepancies
- Monitor stock levels to ensure optimal inventory levels and avoid stock outs or overstocks.
- Identify slow-moving or obsolete items and recommend appropriate actions.
- Collaborate with the purchasing department to determine stock requirements
- Generate purchase orders and coordinate with suppliers for timely delivery.
- Coordinate stock transfers between different locations or departments
- Analyze stock data to identify trends, forecast demand, and optimize stock levels
- Generate regular reports on stock levels, stock movements, and any issues or concerns.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as sales and production, to fulfill stock requirements and address any issues
- Communicate effectively with suppliers regarding stock orders, delivery schedules, and quality concerns
- Monitor and report on stock quality issues, such as damaged or expired items
- Implement quality control measures to ensure the integrity of stock

- Diploma in business administration, or a related field
- Proven experience as a stock control clerk or similar role.
- Strong numerical and analytical skills.
- Proficient in using inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team.
